Wedemeier, MS,CMT,NCMT 6449 Kansas Lane Takoma Park, MD 20912 E-mail: robert@takomamassage.com      kneading_you@msn.com Cell: 301-254-8395 The goal of Takoma Massage is to provide a respite from the day-to-day world, a place where each client may enter into their own sacred space for rest and relaxation.  This time allows the mind to suspend judgement on the body and allows for the restoration of balance and harmony.  Massage is true self-care.  When we are more aware of the fact that our bodies are also important in terms of our personal growth, we find it easier to nurture them.  While we may think of massage as a luxury, this ancient form of healing enables us to open up our energetic pathways, allowing the unlimited energy of the universe to flow to and through us.  It doesen't matter whether a simple massage comes from a loved one or a massage therapist.  By giving a gift of massage to ourselves we are doing something healthy and benefical for our bodies.  Massage helps our bodies to activate their own restorative powers, creating a wonderful way to engage in our own healing.  Relaxation and refocusing are important aspects of the massage experience.  The other aspects are to tailor the massage to address the individualized needs of the client for specific bodywork.  Within this framework we recognize that the ultimate consumer of our profession is the client, on the table, receiving our work.  Client feedback is welcomed and allows us to adjust and accomodate, in the moment, making for a better massage experience.
